NCAA Football 14 Teambuilder Dynasty Ep.1 – A New Journey Begins
Introduction
Welcome to the Kalispel College Warhawk dynasty! This is the start of a new project that I’ve been really excited about. We have a brand new football team located in Kalispell, Montana, which will provide a unique challenge for us. Kalispell is not typically associated with football, but we’re determined to build and develop a successful football program here.
Building a Team
As we recruit and bring in new players, we’ll be looking to places like California, the Pacific Northwest, and other mountain states for talent. This will be a challenging task that requires the leadership of a great coach. Our head coach, Leon Daniels, is a former University of Minnesota linebacker. He has assembled a staff that we’re all excited about, including his former teammate as defensive coordinator, Jonathan Starks, and former quarterback Evon Newton as the offensive coordinator.
The Players
Our team is mainly comprised of freshmen and sophomores, as is often the case for new teams. One of our key players is Marcus Calhoun, our middle linebacker and defensive captain. On the offensive side, our captain is quarterback Austin Bradley. We also have exciting playmakers like true freshman Troy Evans to add some excitement to our offense.
Schemes and Strategy
As a brand-new team, we don’t have the luxury of being picky with our talent. We’ll be running a versatile offense with elements of ground-and-pound, spread offense, and trick plays. On defense, we’ll be aggressive with lots of zone blitzing. We don’t have the personnel for one specific scheme, so we’ll be creative and adapt each week to find ways to score points and compete with our opponents.
Next Steps
We’ll be holding an inner-squad scrimmage to evaluate our players before the regular season begins. This will give us a chance to see who can step up and be the playmakers in the first season of Kalispell football.
